E-book cover "Stories of Hope for Our Ocean"
The Stories of Hope for Our Ocean e-book, published on 18 November 2025 by the Sea Forward Fund, brings together an inspiring collection of stories from scientists, innovators, nonprofit leaders, investors, and ocean allies — people whose efforts, although different in form, share a common purpose. Across coral revival, kelp restoration, youth engagement, circular economy initiatives, cultural stewardship, community-led fisheries, and climate resilience, each story shows how individuals and communities around the world are working to strengthen the ocean and the communities who depend on it.
This spirit resonates deeply within the seaweed world. Across Indonesia’s coastal regions, seaweed farming reflects many of the same values found throughout the collection: resilience passed between generations, deep local knowledge, and a close relationship with the sea. The hopes expressed in the e-book: healthier ecosystems, empowered communities, and solutions grounded in lived experience and science, closely align with the aspirations of seaweed farmers. When coastlines are protected and waters remain clean, seaweed cultivation thrives; and in return, seaweed supports food security, regenerative practices, and the well-being of coastal communities.
Together, these stories remind us that diverse efforts across the ocean ultimately move toward the same goal: a future where marine ecosystems and coastal communities thrive side by side.
We are delighted and honored to be featured in this publication. We extend our appreciation to both the Sea Forward Fund and Potato Impact Partners, who thoughtfully highlighted Seaweed Connect in this global collection of hope and recognized our work for the communities we serve.
